Stories from Haiti: Colleene's Story

Today's post is from Colleene Tarlo. Colleene was an integral part of the Haiti Team from The Point. In her words, she describes how the Haiti trip touched her:
Haiti was truly a life changing experience. It helped me strengthen my faith in the Lord. It had also helped me broaden my views on the world.
Before this trip I was the type of person who only paid attention to what was going on in their own back yard. During Haiti my fear of talking and performing in front of a large crowd was conquered. However, now that I'm back in the states my fear will resume.
Our trip to Haiti was truly amazing. Seeing all those kids added a warmth to my heart. Despite all the despair, they may have gone through and are still going through, most of them managed to have a smile on their face at all times. Most of the kids would shower us with love and affection.
I really can't wait to go back to Haiti. I feel like Haiti is calling me. Haiti will always have apart of my heart.
I can change the world. I can change Haiti. I can change my city.
